Company is a private independent natural gas company focused on development in the U.S. Rockies with current operations in the Pinedale Anticline and Jonah Field in Southwest Wyoming. Company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the finance team, working with senior management and across departments to identify opportunities and provide guidance to develop and improve the budgeting, forecasting, and corporate development processes including M&A and strategic alternatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain all financial models to assist with corporate strategic planning and budgeting, as well as analyzing M&A and capital allocation opportunities
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key financial metrics that highlight business performance and returns on invested capital
  • Evaluate corporate development opportunities: project economics, valuation, M&A, and exit analysis
  • Manage budget process and create monthly/quarterly look-back reporting materials
  • Monitor hedge strategy and evaluate the impact on corporate risk management and debt compliance
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (executives, accounting, reservoir, and operations teams) to develop and corroborate forecast assumptions and explain variances from forecast to actual
  • Prepare presentation materials for management, board, lenders, and investors
  • Lead or assist in other projects as required by VP of Finance and Senior Management
HIRING REQUIREMENTS
  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting or Economics required; MBA, CFA, or investment banking preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar function in investment banking, private equity, or in a corporate environment
  • Advanced business/financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Familiarity with forecasting/budgeting processes
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial analysis methods
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills with acute attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, open mind, and ability to work in teams
  • Ability to take complex tasks, solve and explain in a simplified manner
  • Experience in the Energy Industry preferred

Salary range: $95,000 – $110,000 annual salary+ bonus
